3-7 day outlook

Forecast updated 1:30pm EST - September 30, 2011

Next week looks dry with high temperatures in the low 70's.
There is a ridge that follows this cut off low that has been over
us for the past week or so.

The image below shows next friday night.  There is a high chance of
severe weatherfor the midwest due to a deep trough and warm temperature
advection bringing moisture into the area.  This image shows 6 hour precipitation.
The 1.85 inch mark on the map is very heavy rain and has the potential to move
into the West Lafayette area over next weekend.
