Chance of Rain Wed/Thurs

Forecast updated 3:30pm EST - 16 Sept. 2011

Looking ahead through the week of September 18th, another chance of rain come through on Wednesday into Thursday. Below is a surface interpretation of for Wednesday morning, where we see a collision of cold air and warm air giving us potential for precipitation.

A GFS-hd model run showed a tilted trough, leaning toward the northeast as seen in the upper right corner below, which deepens the low, which is expected to break off and settle southwest of us.

A temperature drop is expected, though mild. At least a half degree of cooling may occur from Wednesday on into Thursday.
