Analysis valid 8:00am EST 26 Aug 2011

This is Paul Brandt with your morning forecast.

Hurricane Irene continues to taunt the Eastern Seaboard with promises of high winds, extreme precipitation, and the threat of a deadly storm surge. Meanwhile, across the remainder of the Eastern US, Americans wake up to temperatures ranging from the upper 40s in parts of Northern Michigan to balmy lower 80s in parts of Florida. Precipitation is minimal, with the exception of those areas affected by the aforementioned Hurricane Irene.
