The image below shows the GFS model forecast for the 500 mb heights and absolute vorticity for Sunday September 30 at 1200 UTC. The red X over Ohio indicates a vorticity maximum. Northeast Ohio will be experiencing positive vorticity advection at this time which will cause upper level divergence. This upper level divergence could cause some precipitation on Sunday. For Indiana, which is behind the vorticity maximum, negative vorticity advection will occur which will cause upper level convergence. With their being upper level convergence no precipitation is likely to occur.
