Tropical Storm Issac is expected to hit the coast of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta tonight. There is a chance that Issac could become a Category 1 Hurricane shortly before landfall, but then return to Tropical Storm status after making landfall. Issac is expected to move slowly over the Mississippi Delta and bring large amounts of rainfall to the area.

Tropical Storm Issac currently has pressure of 976mb with a sustained maximum winds at 70mph, short of the 74mph wind speed requirement in order to be categorized at a Category 1 Hurricane. Cities being directly affected by Issac include New Orleans, LA, Biloxi, MS, and Baton Rouge, LA. Citizens have been warned to move away from flood prone areas to reduce any fatalities.
