09-07 Short Range

A strong cold front is approaching from the east and will bring thunderstorms, some potentially severe, as well as heavy rainfall to the region this evening and into tonight. Rainfall totals for this weekend may be around 1-1.25 inches for West Lafayette and surrounding areas.  After the passage of the cold front, we will see cooler temperatures through the weekend with no precipitation due to the high pressure ridge moving in.

NAM forecast of total rainfall associated with the cold front through this weekend.
