I calculated the temperature advection for the middle of Puerto Rico for 12Z today. The wind is at about 2.5 m/s and I multiplied that by the change in temperature and divided that by the distance between the isobars in the direction of the wind. My calculated value was -4.3 e -5 degree C/ seconds. The 2nd map shows the actual temperature advection. Therefore my calculated value is pretty close.
