Short Range 9Feb2011

Forecast updated 3:00pm EST - 9 Feb 2011

Bundle up everybody. We are in for another bitter cold evening as the map below shows the 1000-500mb heights and we about the 513mb level which is keeping the cold air coming through the day tomorrow and into Friday. Our area should see a warm up beginning Friday afternoon as the low pressure system pushed through to the east coast. A storm system associated with this system will stay to the South of us. There is a slight possibility for snow flurries Friday afternoon as cool moist air from Canada moves down with some vorticity advection forcing.
