Short range public

Dry conditions for most of the country over the next few days, some light precipitation will be seen over the Southeast on Tuesday morning, just before another storm system moves into the area. Most of Georgia has been put on a winter weather alert, in anticipation of the upcoming conditions. However, with temperatures hovering around freezing, some areas a little above and some a little below, the Southeast could see a mixture of snow, sleet and rain.

The Northern part of the US will continue to see temperatures around zero degrees, but the warmer temperatures in the south will eventually begin to push upwards, bringing temperatures up nearer to the 20s by Thursday. The Northern most areas however, North Dakota and Minnesota, will remain cold.
