Long Range - Public

Looking into the long range from Sunday the 16th to Wednesday the 19th we have a low pressure system passing through the Great Lakes region that will bring some freezing rain as temperatures are slightly below freezing in the morning but as the day progresses that will change over to rain as we expect highs in the low 40s. For the Chicagoland area temperatures will be just above freezing as sleet will eventually become rain but a cold front situated with the low pressure will bring cold temperatures and snow is expected to fall again.

As the system begins to leave high pressure will be situated in our area for a few days bringing some warm advection that will keep us above freezing and into the 40s for the next few days. By Wednesday night another clipper system is showing to bring some rain.
