SUMMARY: Winter storm occurring over the Midwest and Ohio Valley today. The storm will progress and bring a large amount of varied precipitation across the region. The Lafayette area will be to the north of all critical thickness lines, which will bring snow to the area. Over central and south-central Indiana, there could be a wintry mix of precip, with and ice storm likely occurring in southern Indiana. Rain will occur further to the south over Kentucky.

Strong cold air advection will move in behind the system, with high pressure sitting over the area Wednesday night into Thursday. This in addition with cold northwest flow will bring a very cold Thursday over Indiana.
