INDOT Verification Jan 21 2014

The INDOT forecast was generally accurate, with most of the state receiving between one and three inches of snowfall. Lake effect snow also affected the northwest corner of the state as predicted, with totals of six or more inches in some locations. However, the snow totals in the southeastern corner of the state were higher than expected, with three to six inches of snowfall by 7am EST. Temperatures have dipped into the teens as expected, and combined with the blowing snow, the road conditions are hazardous, particularly in the southern portion of the state.
