The INDOT forecast for Monday night called for low temperatures between -8 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit, but low temperatures ended up being fairly colder than that, as the northern half of Indiana saw lows between -15 and -10 degrees. The predicted shift in winds to a more zonal flow is gradually becoming apparent, as winds yesterday during the day were out of the northwest, and have since shifted to coming out of the west-southwest. Although the forecast also called for 20-35 mph winds overnight, winds of that magnitude did not materialize, as the majority of the state saw mostly calm conditions throughout Monday night.

As predicted, temperatures began to warm on Tuesday morning and have continued to warm to above 0 degrees.
