Simpson Long Range Dec 5 2011
Forecast updated 1:30pm EST - 5 Dec 2011
Starting on Thursday a weak upper level trough should move through the area giving the chance of a light snow shower during the day and overnight. No significant snowfall expected. Friday we get into some cold advection bringing the -12 degrees Celsius line down from Canada. With this expect it to be quite nippy for Friday night and Saturday morning with dry conditions. A high pressure should start to move in to our area Sunday, which means that the temperatures should start to warm up slightly for the second half of your weekend and beginning of the work week. Next Monday also looks dry for right now.
The first map below shows the GFSHD 850mb Temps, Heights, and Winds. This is the forecast model output for 00Z on Saturday, so Friday night. As you can see the temperatures are quite cool!
