The main precipitation was forcasted to be located in north central Indiana with the low moving to ENE. The second image below shows the composite radar image for 18 UTC 11 Jan. This main core of heavy snow precipitation corresponds to the most positive vorticity advection shown in the third image below valid at the 18 UTC 11 Jan produced at 12 UTC 11 Jan. The precipitation amounts seen in the forecast from the previous day correspond well to the observed track of the system.
