Current Indiana Weather
A high pressure system sitting over the northern portion of the country has settled in and is contributing to mostly clear skies throughout much of the central United States. As indicated in the image below, melting snow is clearly visible through much of the central Illinois and Indiana. Sinking motion is allowing for mostly clear skies through these regions. Due to clear skies dominating the area, temperatures have finally made it to the 40s.
The following image displays the surface METAR observations.
Areas that have more snow than others see a lower temperature. Lafayette over to Kokomo, the temperatures are near 40F. Other areas are experiencing temperatures two to three degrees warmer.
